    Patrick brings vast experience to the board having worked for Rolls-Royce for 27 years, patenting an electronic sign technology used on UK motorways, designed systems for Sizewell B, Head of Business Management in Gas Turbine Engineering, and Head of Engineering Skills in RR Nuclear before “retiring” in 2016.

    Prior to RR, Patrick led the challenging installation of the Isaac Newton Telescope in La Palma in the Canary Islands.

    He became President of the IMechE 2013-2014, is a Board Trustee at the Science Council and listed in the Debrett’s 500 as one of the 20 most influential people in Engineering three years running.

    A visiting professor at Derby University, Patrick is highly respected in national engineering and science skills, taking part in a number of advisory groups as well as international speaking assignments.
