Lynn is a highly experienced operator in the skills environment. She is Chair of Skills 4, one of the UK’s leading providers of Career Development Programmes for women as well as other specialist programmes which deliver measurable business improvements for high performing companies.
Lynn, who was operations director for Semta, the sector skills council for science, engineering and advanced manufacturing, is also one of Skills 4’s leading executive coaches. She works with companies such as Rolls Royce, Atkins, Arcadis and BAE Systems delivering training and coaching to senior executives.
Lynn is a Board and founding member of the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF) which encourages more young people to study electronics and to seek a career in the sector, of Policy Connect, the leading network of Parliamentary groups, research commissions, forums and campaigns working to inform and improve UK public policy.
Lynn is also the Vice Chair of Northumberland College and a founding member of ‘Find Your Future’ which through a network of Executive Women seeks to support girls and young women in Northumberland to aspire to a rewarding career.
She was the first ever woman Vice President of the Ship Building, Ship Repair Association. In her spare time Lynn likes to cycle and go horse racing, a former board member of Hexham Racecourse and a race horse owner Lynn is a member of Women in Racing.
