Lynn is a highly experienced operator in the skills environment with over 25 years experience. Previously Lynn was operations director for Semta the Sector Skills Council for science, engineering and advanced manufacturing.
She is Chair of Skills 4, one of the UK’s leading diversity and inclusion providers and works as an executive coach and trainer working with their leading companies such as Rolls Royce, Balfour Beatty, Atkins. Skills 4 specialist award winning programmes deliver measurable business improvements for high performing companies by addressing gender and diversity and inclusion within business.
Lynn holds various Board positions, she is a Board and founding Trustee of the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF) a charity which encourages young people to take up careers in electronics, a Board member of Policy Connect, the leading network of Parliamentary groups; research commissions; forums and campaigns working to inform and improve UK public policy. Previously a director of Hexham Racecourse, Lynn is now a Committee member of Women in Racing leading on their Bursary awards to support skills development and career progression.
She was the first ever woman Vice President of the Ship Building, Ship Repair Association and the Chair of Northumberland College leading the successful merger with Sunderland College.
